Museum Isle

This painting features a large window revealing an older painting of mine, showing kids playing on a mattress. Flanking the window are two classical columns with sculpted figures. In front, my surreal self-image, face covered with roses, sits in fatigues on a red-leather bench, gazing into the distance.

To the right, a wooden table holds a Yankee hat, a bowler hat, a bouquet of red roses made with modeling paste, and partially visible piano keys. On the left, a smaller portrait of a man's face peeks from a separate frame. The painting blends classical and modern elements, creating a richly layered narrative.
